Dealing with loss as a youth introduced him to the harsh realities of inner city life in Oakland and Hayward, Ca. where he grew up. Profoundly affected by the brutal murder of his mother, Catrina in 1994, a soul and gospel singer and Vic's most enthusiastic supporter, he works twice as hard to meet the mark of excellence through his artistry as a tribute to her memory.

In November 2006, Vic released his first solo mix tape. He would go on to create several mix and compilation albums. In late 2007 he debuted his freshman LP, History In The Making, which caused a strong buzz in the SF Bay and backpack community alike. His authentic soulful approach to his music coupled with his cool and savvy delivery into the realities of the pictures he paints allows his listeners, not only an articulation, but also an escape from the harsh and unforgiving circumstances of urban day-to-day life.

Vic Da Baron is currently pushing his latest LP 'The Hotbox' as well as producing an array of mix-tapes which can be found on Youtube, Twitter, FB and Itunes. Throughout Vic Da Baron's career he has either recorded or performed with some of the hottest established and up and coming artist in the industry including: J. Cole, Paul Wall, The Jacka, GunPlay,Too Short, Sean T, San Quinn, London, Furious, Dem Hood Stars, J Meyers, Bobby Tenna, Erk Tha Jerk, Netta B., Agerman, Prince Bugsy, Bone Thugs N Harmony, Big Rich, Suga Free, Dru Down and more.
